Description: Consists of 6 commercial and residential towers constructed over two phases

Phase I: 1563 Residential units with 7 levels of underground parking, & 3 atypical levels extending approximately 32 m below current site grades (total of 10 underground levels)

Phase 2: 1009 residential units and 2 storey retail podium with 7 levels below grade parking

Shoring elements: conventional shotcrete walls, secant piles, soldier piles, micropiles, anchors, and various braces

Construction activities will be conducted in close proximity – on the NW (phase 1) and SE (phase 2) side of TransLink

Gilmore Skytrain station and the Millennium Line guideway.

Designed a multi-phase remote monitoring plan to monitor construction activities that pose a potential hazard to any TransLink infrastructure

  • Including instrumentation installed over 3 stages:
  • Stage 1 Monitoring (3 months): 12 tiltmeter, 8 extensometer, and initial survey prisms. This phase has been installed
  • Stage 2 Monitoring (6 months): 1 automatic total station. Expected to commence in 1 month
  • Stage 3 Monitoring (24 months): Inclinometers, strain gauges, load cells to be installed over the course of the excavation activities

How was data delivered?

Municon will implement and maintain website where data from on-site instrumentation will be presented in near real-time. Data is processed and analyzed, and presented digitally on the website, made available to the construction and design team. Password protected user access accounts will be provided to view all data from proposed instrumentation used.

Summary data reports will be provided on a weekly or monthly basis
